These verses describe the Lord as powerful and the ruler over men in authority. The imagery is like that of a knight bowing before the king in submission. Knights or lords would rule over a part of the bigger kingdom but always in line with the king's wishes. If God has put you in authority in the workplace, you can honor the King by submitting to Him in that environment.
